The Bechdel Test - 3 questions to assess whether or not a film contains an actual female presence / well-developed female roles:

  1. Are there 2 or more women who have names? 
  2. Do they talk to each other? 
  3. Do they talk to each other about something other than men?

This video shows quite a few mainstream movies that fail this test… Something to look out for, I think; it’s quite interesting!
